The US Department of Transportation reports that more than half of fatal and injury crashes occur at or near intersections. When it comes to any car crash there are usually conflicting accounts of what happened. It is important to have a complete investigation conducted by a third-party expert to examine all factors of the accident, and to start this investigation as soon as possible while the evidence is still fresh. Every year, the Federal Highway Administration (FHA) reports approximately 2.5 million intersection accidents. 50 percent of serious collisions happen in intersections and 20 percent of fatal collisions occur there.

This would include a crash scene survey, vehicle damage and EDR data, time and distance calculations, traffic volume, roadway design, tire marks, weather, and conspicuity. The engineer can also access the vehicle’s infotainment system for more data points.
