Completing the CFEI program adds a person to an international registry that recognizes qualified fire and explosion investigators. The CFEI sets the standard for evaluating the qualifications of those conducting fire, arson, and explosion investigations, and creates a benchmark for investigators to establish their professional credentials. It is the one of the leading fire investigator certifications based on the scientific principles of NFPA 921.
