Shortcode CleanerCED Technologies Inc., Shelton, Connecticut, is currently looking for a professional licensed Civil-Structural Engineer who performs investigations from scaffolding collapse accidents to problems that arise from weather damage, foundation construction and beyond in a friendly cultured environment. This is a salaried position; the annual salary is $85,000 - $125,000 depending on the level of experience. The individual who fills the position is eligible for a quarterly Engineering Incentive plan and an annual discretionary bonus based on the company and the individual’s performance.
The Civil-Structural Engineer will provide comprehensive, disciplined engineering experience and perform in-depth forensic investigations such as construction structural defects, roadway design, worker safety issues, deficiencies, code compliance, quality assurance issues, and much more. The ideal candidate must also be willing to occasionally travel on a day or overnight basis to investigate accidents. The engineer applies their engineering principles and helps their clients successfully resolve a loss or any litigation requirements. This position is well suited for an individual who is motivated and a self-starter who likes working independently and not at a desk and on occasion also enjoys working outdoors
• B.S. and or M.S. in Civil Engineering
• Advanced educational degrees such as a Ph.D. are a plus
• Professional Engineering (P.E.) license is a plus.
• At least 5 years of Civil/Structural Engineering experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Obtains certifications in highly specific fields such as, aerial work platforms, foundations, exterior insulation, and finish systems (EIFS) to provide expertise from several different angles.
• Fluent or native in speaking and writing the English language.
• Demonstrates the ability to efficiently complete detailed work.
• Exhibits effective time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and deliver timely work based on client needs.
• Collaborative and friendly with the ability to work independently.
