Triangle Tube, headquartered in West Deptford, New Jersey, in cooperation with the U.S. CPSC and Health Canada, has voluntarily recalled three gas boiler series due to potential Carbon Monoxide (CO) release from delayed ignitions or component damage. Additionally, improper combustion settings may increase the risk of CO poisoning.

The recall includes the Prestige Solo, Prestige Excellence, and Aerco Esteem gas boiler series, with over 60,000 units sold. It covers 27 models of Prestige Solo and Prestige Excellence boilers (28 in Canada) and two models of Aerco Esteem boilers, all manufactured between December 2011 and April 2019.

All recalled units are wall-hung condensing gas boilers enclosed in a white metal box. The Prestige Solo and Excellence models feature “Prestige” on the front panel, while the recalled Esteem boilers display “Aerco.”

There have been two reported deaths due to CO poisoning linked to the recalled boilers. In 2015, a woman died from CO poisoning associated with a Prestige Solo 175 boiler, and in 2016, a man died after a repair on a Prestige SOLO TriMax 175 boiler.
